Job summary

JBS USA is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to ensure the proper operation of production equipment. You will perform testing, routine servicing, and basic repairs, while keeping accurate maintenance logs and coordinating with the team to minimize downtime.

The role requires a high school diploma and maintenance knowledge. You will work in a fast-paced production environment with safety procedures and documentation responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification: High school degree or equivalent; training in maintenance and repair operations and safety certification may be required.
• Knowledge of basic mechanics; knowledge of machine testing procedures; understanding of equipment maintenance requirements.
• Solid problem-solving skills; good oral communication abilities; able to use related mechanical and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for timely and effective performance of maintenance procedures.
• Runs tests to ensure equipment operates properly and parts meet specs.
• Schedules, cleans, oils, fills tanks, and adjusts equipment to ensure smooth operations.
• Performs basic repairs; refers complex repairs to Manager and outside providers as needed.
• Identifies inefficiencies and recommends improvements.
• Conducts regular visual inspections of production equipment.
• Keeps maintenance records up to date and files paperwork for referrals and repairs.
