Job summary

The Toro Company is hiring a Plant Maintenance Technician I for day shifts in Kentucky. You will install, inspect, maintain, modify, and repair facilities, machinery, and mechanical systems, using welding and plumbing skills.

You will operate forklifts and cranes, perform routine maintenance, and support safety and quality standards. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, strong mechanical and welding skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds with occasional heavier

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrate good mechanical and welding skills.
• Demonstrate appropriate reading, clerical, and basic math skills.
• Be able to regularly handle items weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally over 50 pounds.
• Have a good work record, including self-motivation, reliable attendance, quality focus, and teamwork.
• A safe, strong driving record.
• Good observational and problem recognition skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment, powered and manual, to maintain facilities.
• Possess solid welding, plumbing, and mechanical skills.
• Help maintain company equipment of all types.
• Be willing to work overtime as needed and meet quality/safety standards.
