Job summary

Knights Companies Inc. seeks a Plant Maintenance Technician to ensure safe, efficient operation of ready-mix plants, precast equipment and structures. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems, and fabricate parts for repairs.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of experience with heavy process machinery, strong welding/fabrication skills, and the ability to read technical drawings. Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 to 4 years of experience with heavy process machinery (cement industry preferred).
• Knowledge of industrial mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• OSHA, environmental and safety regulations related to plant operations.
• Welding, fabrication and precision alignment skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and schematics.
• Basic computer skills and strong planning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and environmental policy compliance across plants.
• Perform routine, preventative and corrective maintenance on plants and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Inspect machinery and perform necessary repairs to ensure optimal operation.
• Fabricate, weld and modify parts to restore equipment.
• Safely rig, lift and handle heavy equipment during installations or repairs.
• Read blueprints and schematics and use precision tools for alignment.
• Document maintenance work in logs and provide training to plant managers.
