Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; at least 1 year related experience or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Basic math skills for measurements, conversions, and calculations.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance staff by keeping facilities machinery, equipment and production areas clean and orderly.
• Assist in producing a quality product and follow preventative measures to meet customer requirements and standards.
• Comply with safety, environmental and health policies and procedures.
• Identify potential emergencies and report incidents to supervisor/manager.
• Perform general cleaning tasks: sweep, mop, dust, paints or maintains equipment as needed.
• Read and follow special instructions; record information using logs and computer systems.
