Job summary

Sunrock is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, maintain, and support day-to-day plant maintenance across multiple locations in North Carolina. The role requires working safely and supporting day, evening, and overnight shifts, with overtime and weekend work as needed.

The candidate should have strong mechanical aptitude, be able to read and write English, and be comfortable using hand tools and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in plant maintenance or industrial maintenance.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Welding experience preferred; certification optional.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, maintain, and support day-to-day plant maintenance.
• Work safely; support day, evening, overnight shifts; overtime/weekends.
• Inspect rolling equipment and operate skid steer, dump truck, and sweeper.
• Track maintenance done, parts replaced, and equipment issues.
• Identify issues and communicate recommendations to management.
• Assemble, install, and maintain piping systems and mechanical equipment.
• Repair gauges, valves, regulators, and related components.
• Perform welding and metal fabrication (TIG, MIG, Stick).
• Maintain cleanliness and participate in site cleanup; travel up to 10% overnight.
