Job summary

JBS USA is seeking a maintenance technician to oversee equipment testing, routine service, and repairs at our facility in Colorado. You will ensure parts and systems meet specifications, perform scheduled maintenance, and assist with record-keeping and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; maintenance and safety training may be required.
• Knowledge of basic mechanics and testing equipment is essential.
• Experience with machine maintenance and repair procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run tests to ensure equipment operates correctly and components meet specs.
• Schedule and perform cleaning, lubrication, tank filling, and adjustments for smooth operations.
• Carry out basic repairs and refer complex issues to the Manager or outside providers.
• Identify inefficiencies and propose improvements to production processes.
• Perform regular visual inspections of production equipment and maintain maintenance logs.
• Complete paperwork for maintenance referrals, update maintenance logs, and keep equipment guides filed.
• Maintain effective communication with area personnel and update management on major issues.
• Keep work area clean, secure, and well maintained and participate in special projects as assigned.
