Job summary

Empirical-Food is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform regular and preventative maintenance on plant machinery and assist with installation, testing, and improvement projects. You will support maintenance staff, perform emergency repairs, and help ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.

The role requires basic electrical knowledge, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, or verifiable ability to perform essential job functions.
• Minimum of 1 year of plant maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic electrical knowledge and ability to read procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily preventative maintenance tasks according to procedures and schedules.
• Repair, service, adjust, and test equipment (air systems, refrigeration units, hydraulic tanks, compressors, condensers).
• Assemble/disassemble equipment while maintaining safety standards.
• Operate forklifts, hoists, and other heavy equipment as required.
• Report problems to maintenance management for direction or coordination.
