Plant Maintenance Technician - County Prestress & Precast, LLC (Manufacturing)

We are seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician for our facility in Whitestown, IN. Military service members and veterans are encouraged to apply.

Job Duties

1. Troubleshoot and diagnose plant manufacturing equipment during production.
2. Schedule and perform mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs on production equipment as needed.
3. Ensure safety guidelines are followed at all times and properly documented.
4. Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
5. Perform general purpose steel fabrication and welding.
6. Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform repairs and servicing.
7. Use hand and power tools, electric meters, material handling equipment, welders, and torches.
8. Weld parts to equipment during repairs or installations.
9. Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
10. Obtain quotes for parts and supplies and install parts as needed.
11. Communicate with vendors for equipment maintenance and installation.

Work Environment

• Indoor and outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures.
• Work near moving machinery and electrical hazards.
• Operate in noisy environments.

Physical Requirements

• Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, crouching, kneeling, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching above shoulder.
• Lifting/carrying 10-40 pounds.

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in plant manufacturing equipment maintenance.
• Proactive, multi-tasking, self-motivated team player with a positive attitude.
• Strong hydraulic, mechanical, welding, and industrial skills, including hydraulic pumps, electric motors, conveyor belts, steel fabrication, and overhead cranes.
• Electrical license preferred but not required.
