Plant Maintenance Technician Assistant Job Summary

The Plant Maintenance Technician Assistant works under direct supervision to perform preventive maintenance, complete minor repairs, and assist in larger repairs.

Plant Maintenance Technician Assistant Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
• Assist with adjustments, repairs, and replacements on equipment, including balers, conveyor belts, gearboxes, electrical motors, machine shafts, rollers, and bearings.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area following safety and OSHA standards.
• Complete other maintenance and project work as needed.
• Work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, to meet operational needs.
  
  

Plant Maintenance Technician Assistant Position Requirements

• No formal education required
• No experience required
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Ability to meet physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
• Proficient in welding and fabrication
• Knowledge of single and three-phase electrical systems
• Knowledge of electrical control, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Safely operate tools and equipment during maintenance and repair
• Diagnose and repair various equipment and vehicles
• Technicians must provide their own basic tools for routine maintenance and repairs
