Job summary

KENT Nutrition Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our Arcade, NY plant. You will maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and service plant equipment and facility systems to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

This is a full-time, first shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. role with a competitive hourly wage and comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and 401k.

Qualifications

• OSHA safety requirements knowledge
• Good communication skills
• Understanding of feed manufacturing and willingness to learn and grow
• Basic computer knowledge
• Understanding of feed mill equipment and layout
• Thorough understanding of cGMPs
• Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan
• Knowledge of FSMA
• Ability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen
• Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures

Responsibilities

• Report factors influencing quality and safety of finished feed to supervisor
• Install circuit breakers, starters, panels, run conduit and hook-ups with minimal supervision
• Report to the Maintenance Manager
• Repair all mill equipment with little supervision
• Troubleshoot electrical equipment in plant up to 480 volts
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches and schematics
• Train less experienced electricians
• Fill on-call positions during non-regular hours
• Follow KNG guidelines and safety regulations
• Attend seminars to improve skill levels
• Observe safety practices at all times
• All other duties as assigned
