Job summary

Puretec Industrial Water, a family-owned company, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled preventive maintenance on plant equipment and troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. You will read manuals, coordinate repairs, and ensure safety and orderliness across the facility.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in industrial maintenance, familiarity with CMMS, and strong problem-solving and communication skills to support operations across departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical, plumbing, or manufacturing work in an industrial setting.
• Regeneration plant experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
• Respond to equipment failures and complete repairs.
• Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Read technical manuals, diagrams, and work orders.
• Perform plumbing, carpentry, and basic machinist duties.
• Identify faulty equipment and coordinate resolution with warranties or other means.
• Maintain safety compliance and workplace organization.
• Communicate maintenance needs with plant personnel.
• Collaborate across departments to support operations.

Puretec Industrial Water is a family-owned company in water treatment solutions, converting municipal water into highly purified deionized water for industrial applications across the Southwestern United States. Primary Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on plant equipment
• Respond to equipment failures and complete required repairs
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, diagrams, and work orders
• Perform plumbing, carpentry, and basic machinist duties
• Identify faulty equipment and coordinate resolution through vendor warranties or other means
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and workplace organization standards
• Communicate regularly with plant personnel regarding maintenance needs
• Collaborate cross-departmentally to support shared operational goals

Skills And Knowledge

• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical process systems
• Familiarity with PLC programming (Allen Bradley 500 and Panel Views)
• Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics
• Proficiency with preventative maintenance systems (CMMS)
• Knowledge of water treatment and environmental control systems
• Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills
• Sound judgment and independent problem-solving ability
• Professional communication skills with internal and external partners

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required; college experience preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical, plumbing, or manufacturing work within an industrial environment
• Regeneration plant experience preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

• Valid State Driver's License and proof of liability insurance required
• Relevant industry certifications are a plus

The base pay range for this role is what we reasonably expect to pay for the position although actual pay may vary from this scale depending on an applicant's experience.
