Job summary

MiTek in Montgomery, AL seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain stamping equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems. You will perform preventative maintenance and work to improve productivity through equipment and process improvements.

The role requires reading blueprints, measuring with tools, and following safety rules; HS diploma with 2+ years related experience is expected, along with forklift, lock-out/tag-out, and ladder

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years related experience or equivalent.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Read a tape measure, use micrometer, voltmeter and calipers; blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair stamping equipment (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electrical).
• Perform preventive maintenance on all plant equipment per specs or internal schedules.
• Improve productivity via improvements in machines, materials, or processes.
• Install and troubleshoot new equipment as directed.
• Attend and be ready for the scheduled shift, including overtime as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
