Job summary

Dolese Bros Co is seeking a Maintenance Tech to perform general repairs and preventative maintenance on plant equipment in a safe, efficient manner. This position operates on a rotating two‑week schedule, alternating between 5:00a.m.–3:00p.m.

Qualifications

• Must have a safe work history.

• Plant maintenance knowledge to include conveyors, belts, bearings and crushers.
• Plant oiler duties including proper greasing, oil changes and sampling techniques.
• Welding skills preferred.
• Knowledge of automation software and diagnostics preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Good safety, behavior and attendance record.
• Team oriented, capable of working with others and managers.
• Willingness to do heavy labor and work outside in all weather.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including swing and graveyard shifts, overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and environmental rules and procedures per company policies and MSHA.
• Operate mobile equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform general maintenance and repair on conveyors, crushers and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Complete paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Maintain neat appearance of self, shop and work areas.
• Regular, reliable attendance at the worksite.
• Assist welders and with special projects as needed.
• Collaborate with team and management to accomplish tasks.

Job Summary

The primary functions of the maintenance tech include but are not limited to ensuring quality plant maintenance by performing general repairs on all company equipment in a safe, efficient and productive manner. This position operates on a rotating two‑week schedule, alternating between 5:00a.m.‑3:00p.m. and 2:00p.m.‑12:00a.m.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all safety and environmental rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by company policies and MSHA.
• Follow all company policies and local, state and federal regulations for safe working procedures.
• Operate mobile equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform general maintenance and repair on all company equipment to include but not limited to conveyors, screen units, crushers and vibrating feeders.
• Perform preventive maintenance as needed on all company equipment to include but not limited to conveyors, screen units, crushers and vibrating feeders.
• Perform workplace exams, pre‑shift inspections and post‑shift inspections as needed.
• Repair and/or clean equipment as needed.
• Assisting welders as needed.
• Assisting with special projects as needed.
• Responsible for maintaining a neat and professional appearance of self, shop and work areas.
• Comprehend and complete all needed paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
• Regular, reliable attendance at the worksite or assigned work location.
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Possess a safe work history.
• Have a positive attitude and proactive approach to our safety program.
• Plant maintenance mechanic – knowledge and ability to properly perform basic plant maintenance to include but not limited to splicing conveyor belt, tracking conveyor belt, replacing conveyor idlers, pulleys and bearings, replacing V‑belts, and replacing screen media.
• Plant oiler – knowledge and ability to properly perform basic plant preventive maintenance to include but not limited to proper greasing techniques, amounts and schedules, installing, repairing or replacing grease lines, oil changes in speed reducers, crushers, feeders and screen units, and proper oil sampling techniques.
• Welding skills preferred.
• Knowledge of automation software and diagnostics preferred.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Good safety, behavior and attendance record.
• The selected candidate will be required to work collectively in a team environment with other co‑workers and managers.
• Excellent verbal, written and comprehension communication skills.
• Willingness to do other work as needed, including heavy labor.
• Willingness to work outside in all weather extremes.
• Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including swing shift, graveyard shift, over‑time and weekends as required.
• Ability to work near, around or on light or heavy equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Lift objects of various dimensions and up to 75lbs occasionally and 50lbs frequently.
• Ability to repeatedly climb stairs and ladders.
• Ability to work at heights.
• Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects.
• Ability to use vibration producing tools frequently.
• Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions.
• Ability to repeatedly reach, squat and tolerate prolonged standing/walking/sitting.
• Ability to frequently walk on uneven surfaces.
