Job summary

Dolese Bros Co. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our plant equipment running safely and efficiently. You will perform general repairs on conveyors, crushers, screen units and feeders, and assist welders on special projects.

The role requires a safety-focused mindset and basic maintenance knowledge, with flexibility for swing shifts, graveyard shifts, overtime and weekends. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

  • Safe work history and a positive attitude toward safety.
  • Apprentice plant maintenance mechanic or plant oiler – still learning (1 year or less).
  • Plant maintenance mechanic knowledge for basic maintenance: conveyors, idlers, pulleys, bearings, V-belts, screen media.
  • Plant oiler knowledge: greasing, oil changes, speed reducers, crushers and feeders.
  • Automation software/diagnostics knowledge is helpful but not required.
  • Good safety, behavior, and attendance record.
  • Excellent verbal, written and comprehension communication skills.
  • Willingness to do other work, including heavy labor, outdoor work, and flexible shifts.

  • Operate and perform maintenance on conveyors, crushers, screen units and vibrating feeders.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed.
  • Repair or clean equipment and assist welders on special projects.
  • Maintain a neat, professional appearance of self and work areas.
  • Complete paperwork accurately and on time; attend to attendance expectations.
  • Work collaboratively in a team with coworkers and managers.

Our employees are one of our most important resources, which is why we promise to deliver.Dolese Delivers:Stable FoundationTreat with RespectSafe EnvironmentsEmployee FocusJOB SUMMARY:The primary functions of the maintenance tech include but are not limited to ensuring quality plant maintenance by performing general repairs on all company equipment in a safe, efficient and productive manner.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Follow all safety and environmental rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by company policies and MSHA.Follow all company policies and local, state and federal regulations for safe working procedures.Operate mobile equipment in a safe and efficient manner.Perform general maintenance and repair on all company equipment to include but not limited to conveyors, screen units, crushers and vibrating feeders.Perform preventive maintenance as needed on all company equipment to include but not limited to conveyors, screen units, crushers and vibrating feeders.Perform workplace exams, pre-shift inspections and post-shift inspections as needed.Repair and/or clean equipment as needed.Assisting welders as needed.Assisting with special projects as needed.Responsible for maintaining a neat and professional appearance of self, shop and work areas.Comprehend and complete all needed paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.Regular, reliable attendance at the worksite or assigned work location.Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.QUALIFICATIONS:Possess a safe work history.Have a positive attitude and proactive approach to our safety program.Apprentice plant maintenance mechanic or plant oiler – still learning (1-year experience or less).Plant maintenance mechanic – knowledge and ability to properly perform basic plant maintenance to include but not limited to splicing conveyor belt, tracking conveyor belt, replacing conveyor idlers, pulleys and bearings, replacing V-belts, and replacing screen media.Plant oiler – Knowledge and ability to properly perform basic plant preventive maintenance to include but not limited to proper greasing techniques, amounts and schedules, installing, repairing or replacing grease lines, oil changes in speed reducers, crushers, feeders and screen units, and proper oil sampling techniques.Knowledge of automation software and diagnostics would be helpful but not required.High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.Good safety, behavior and attendance record.The selected candidate will be required to work collectively in a team environment with other co-workers and managers.Excellent verbal, written and comprehension communication skills.Willingness to do other work as needed, including heavy labor.Willingness to work outside in all weather extremes.Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including swing shift, graveyard shift, over time and weekends as required.Ability to work near, around or on light or heavy equipment.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Lift objects of various dimensions and up to 75 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs frequently.Ability to repeatedly climb stairs and ladders.Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects.Ability to use vibration producing tools frequently.Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions.Ability to repeatedly reach, squat and tolerate prolonged standing/walking/sitting.Ability to frequently walk on uneven surfacesEEO Statement:We consider applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, genetics, marital or protected veteran status.
