What Will You Enjoy Doing

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of plant maintenance, reliability, and asset performance. This role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure safe, efficient, and cost‑effective operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities. The Maintenance Manager partners closely with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime, extend asset life, and support overall plant performance.

• Manage all activities related to production and infrastructure equipment reliability
  • Ensure preventative maintenance is performed to expectation
  • Ensure timely and accurate repair of machine breakdowns
  • Ensure proper and accurate record keeping of repair and parts usage
  • Ensure all equipment is updated to outlast standards for both safety and upgrades
  • Support OEM initiatives for machine installs and upgrades
  • Implement and control predictive maintenance schedules based on data acquired from machine downtime reports
  • Autonomous maintenance activities
• Manage maintenance budgetary spending
  • Track maintenance spend through reporting software
  • Support building maintenance budget during annual budget process
  • Drive cost‑savings initiatives through predictive maintenance and rebuild processes with parts suppliers
  • Manage maintenance team
    • Coordinate and lead training activities for maintenance technicians.
    • Perform LOTO audits for verification of all technicians
    • Audit all technician work orders in maintenance software for compliance
  • Lead and participate in RCAs for recurring deviations on equipment or performance
  • Lead department in 5S initiatives and installation events
  • Perform equipment kaizen events to bring equipment to like‑new condition

  What Makes You Great

  Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum four years of work experience at ALPLA or a similar industry
  • Experience with Computer Control Systems on machines
  • Experience in working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience

  Physical Demands:

  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms and very occasionally to climb or balance.
  • The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
