Atrium Staffing LLC is recruiting a qualified Maintenance Supervisor for a long-standing local manufacturer in New Jersey. You will lead the maintenance crew on a 24/7 plant floor, coaching technicians, diagnosing faults, and ensuring equipment reliability.

The role requires hands-on work, floor leadership, and strong electro-mechanical skills. You will report to the Engineering Manager and drive safety, training, and preventive maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• Two+ years supervising or leading a team.
• Five+ years industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting across motors, drives, sensors, and hydraulics.
• Ability to teach technical skills and explain problems clearly.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience building or managing preventive maintenance programs.
• Proactive, calm approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; proficient with MS Office.

Responsabilités

• Run the maintenance team day-to-day: assign work, set priorities, and align on goals.
• Train technicians on the floor using real breakdowns for hands-on learning.
• Develop cross-training across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls work.
• Provide regular feedback, recognize performance, and address concerns.
• Mentor newer technicians and prepare high performers for more responsibility.
• Maintain safety and documentation culture, ensuring proper records.
• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment including motors, drives, sensors, PLCs, and pneumatics/hydraulics.
• Support upkeep of coating, laminating, converting, and related processes.
• Respond to breakdowns quickly; establish repair plans with the team.
• Investigate root causes and implement long-term solutions.
• Balance emergency repairs with preventive maintenance and projects.
• Plan shutdowns with Production, Engineering, and contractors.
