Job summary

Tempur Sealy International in Denver, CO seeks a Supervisory Maintenance Technician to lead maintenance staff and oversee installation, startup, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems used in mattress production.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent), 2 years’ experience with hydraulic, HVAC, pumps, piping, and PLCs, and CMMS proficiency. On-site position with safety certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 2 years of experience with manufacturing, mechanical, and electrical systems, including hydraulics, HVAC, pumps, piping, and PLCs.
• Supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated experience with computer maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Certifications in arc flash, HAZWOPER, forklift operation, or ability to obtain them are preferred.
• Certificates or licenses in electrical, plumbing, welding, HVAC, boilers, or PLC controls are preferred.
• Must be comfortable in a noisy, fast-paced production environment with standing, bending, lifting, etc.

Responsibilities

• Maintain responsibility for installation, start-up, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical processes used in mattress production.
• Manage and maximize output of plant equipment used in production, longevity, and aesthetics of the products.
• Plan, delegate, and perform work requiring knowledge of electrical and mechanical theories and national/local electrical codes.
• Directly manage all maintenance staff, contractors, and OEMs to ensure safety, timely production, and project completion.
• Collaborate with Plant Director and Department Supervisors to meet site production needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
