Tyson Foods in Forest, Mississippi, is seeking a maintenance coordinator responsible for all plant maintenance activities and leading a team of 15 technicians. The role requires ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality in a fast-paced food-manufacturing setting.

The candidate should have an associate degree or certificate (or 5+ years related experience), strong PLC and SAP skills, and proven leadership to drive preventive maintenance and continuous improvement. Weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or college program certificate, or 5+ years related experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading or supervising maintenance staff.
• Ability to diagnose basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC problems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Safety-first mindset and ability to promote safety culture.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate plant maintenance activities and maintenance technicians.
• Foster a well-trained and motivated staff.
• Assist Maintenance Manager in directing maintenance policies and procedures.
• Maintain safe and clean plant environment.
• Oversee preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment.
• Quickly assess problems to minimize downtime of production.
• Adhere to SQF Quality Management policies and GMP practices.
