Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our Macon, GA plant. The role focuses on safely repairing and maintaining stationary and mobile equipment, conveyors, pumps, and processing gearboxes, with an emphasis on preventative maintenance.

Hours are 4:00 pm–2:00 am, including weekends and overtime as necessary. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of welding/maintenance experience; a welding certificate is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of welding and maintenance experience.
• Welding certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication, welding, cutting, greasing, housekeeping and other shop duties.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mobile and stationary machinery with supervision as needed.
• Operate electrical testing equipment per safety guidelines.
• Complete paperwork to maintain equipment and plant operations.
• Assist in training co-workers as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
