Job summary

Primary Staffing Inc. in Chicago, IL is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to keep the plant running at peak efficiency. You will install and maintain mechanical equipment, diagnose breakdowns, and keep the maintenance shop in top condition.

Responsibilities include performing PMs on machinery per daily, weekly, and monthly schedules, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and documenting all PMs and work orders while following safety, GMPs, and food safety procedures.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance (preferred).
• Ability to stand for the entire shift.
• Flexible to bend, kneel, squat, and work on concrete floors.
• Capable of working in varying temperatures and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on machinery and mechanical equipment, following daily, weekly, and monthly schedules.
• Troubleshoot, adjust, repair, or replace machinery and equipment as needed.
• Quickly diagnose and repair equipment during breakdowns.
• Ensure all facility equipment functions properly.
• Follow safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out programs.
• Reduce downtime by teaching production workers about routine PMs.
• Document all PMs and work orders.
• Adhere to all safety, GMPs, food safety, and quality procedures.
