Job summary

The Plant Maintenance Mechanic II at The University of Texas at Arlington will be responsible for maintenance, repairs, and modifications of the central utility plant and its equipment, including chillers, boilers, pumps, and cooling towers. You will work on-site in Arlington and support emergency operations as needed.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, repairs, modifications, and monitoring of systems; maintaining inventory for plant equipment; and performing other duties as

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of experience in the operation and maintenance of a central utility plant.
• Valid Texas driver license and three (3) years of driving history.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment in the plant in an efficient, safe and effective manner.
• Perform repairs on all equipment in the plant in an efficient, safe, and effective manner.
• Make any necessary modifications to all equipment in the plant in an efficient, safe, and effective manner.
• Walk utility tunnels to change light bulbs and look for any issues with the steam, condensate return, and chill water systems.
• Keep necessary inventory on tools, fittings, and supplies for all plant equipment.
• Performs other duties assigned.
