Job Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on plant or office facilities, machines, and equipment.
• Work in trades such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical work, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.
• Conduct inspections to determine necessary repairs to prevent breakdowns.
• Utilize hand and power tools effectively.
• Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams, and specifications.

Production Support Career Stream

• Support manufacturing operations and distribution centers, including assembly, machinery, processing, packaging, and distribution of products.
• Set up and operate automatic or semi-automatic machines in continuous production.
• Report malfunctions or abnormalities, and recommend or implement adjustments.
• Assist in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or storage tasks.
