Job summary

Maintenance Manager at Drax Group will lead the maintenance department at the wood pellet facility in Gloster, Mississippi. This hands-on leadership role oversees maintenance strategy, team performance, budget and TPM/RCM implementation to reduce downtime.

Reporting to Plant Manager, you’ll guide up to 20 staff, partner with Operations and Reliability Engineering, and drive equipment reliability while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Five to ten years of maintenance or related industrial experience.
• Previous supervisory or people-leadership experience.
• Experience planning and managing maintenance work in an industrial environment.
• Commitment to workplace safety, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to coach employees and collaborate across departments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear direction for the maintenance team and ensure work is planned, coordinated and completed safely.
• Lead preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities across the facility.
• Coordinate with Operations to plan maintenance with minimal disruption to production.
• Partner with Reliability Engineer to improve equipment reliability and plant availability.
• Develop and implement maintenance policies and strategies aligned with priorities.
• Use CMMS to manage work orders, spare-parts and maintenance history.
• Monitor KPIs and identify risks, priorities and improvement opportunities.
• Manage the plant maintenance budget and oversee small projects.
