Job summary

Drax is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function at our wood pellet facility in Morehouse, Louisiana. You will report to the Plant Manager and guide a team of up to 20 professionals, directing maintenance planning, reliability initiatives, and budget management to maximize equipment availability and plant performance.

This hands-on role emphasizes safety, people development, and world-class maintenance practices within a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of maintenance experience with asset responsibility.
• Experience leading and supervising maintenance teams.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning, asset reliability, and preventive maintenance.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and RCM principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all maintenance activities and personnel at the facility.
• Develop and execute maintenance strategies focused on safety, reliability, and efficiency.
• Manage budgets, resources, and small capital projects.
• Promote safety culture and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with Operations and Reliability teams to minimize downtime and improve KPIs.
• Utilize CMMS to manage work orders, history, and parts inventory.
• Support Reliability-Centered Maintenance and TPM best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methods.
