Job summary

Pero Family Farms is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee all aspects of equipment maintenance, facility upkeep, and regulatory compliance in a food manufacturing setting. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, leadership, and the ability to drive preventive maintenance programs.

The ideal candidate will have experience in food manufacturing, HACCP familiarity, and proven leadership to guide a maintenance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with relevant engineering/maintenance background.
• Experience in maintenance management within food manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and automation technologies.
• Familiarity with food safety regs and HACCP principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment and facilities condition and identify maintenance needs.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate downtime with production to minimize disruption.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and coordinate repairs for quick recovery.
• Ensure safe work procedures and compliance by maintenance staff.
• Oversee sanitation and cleanliness per food safety regulations.
• Manage maintenance budget, forecasts, and cost optimization.
• Evaluate external contractors for specialized maintenance services.
