Job summary

Top Prospect Group, now part of HW Staffing Solutions, seeks a Plant Maintenance Controls Manager for Conway, SC onsite. You will lead a world-class safety program, set goals, and drive reliability initiatives to boost uptime and reduce costs.

You will coordinate with engineers and operations on new process conditions, manage documentation, and ensure ISO compliance. A mechanical engineering degree with 5–7 years in industrial manufacturing is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, Mechanical preferred.
  • 5–7 years in industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Maintenance engineering skills required.
  • Experience with process automation and control.

Responsibilities

  • Lead safety program to achieve world-class safety performance.
  • Set goals and implement programs for plant objectives.
  • Improve equipment reliability to increase on-stream time.
  • Track reliability metrics and costs.
  • Apply preventive and predictive maintenance tools.
  • Coordinate with engineers and operators on new operating conditions.
  • Maintain drawings, specifications, and inspection records in ISO compliance.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
  • Industrial manufacturing environment experience (non-food)
Responsibilities of Position
  • Takes a leadership role to maintain a World Class Safety program and Safety Performance.
  • Sets goals, develops and implements programs to achieve plant and business objectives.
  • Increases on-stream time and reduce costs through improved equipment reliability.
  • Tracks/trends reliability metrics (including TBC and costs).
  • Effective application of preventive, predictive, and proactive tools/programs.
  • Takes an active role in maintenance activities: Plan, conduct, analyze and summarize plant performance improvement trials.
  • Coordinate with engineers, maintenance and operators in the implementation of new process operating conditions and procedures.
  • Responds as required to specific equipment and performance problems.
  • Maintains integrity of all drawings, specifications, programs, compliance/inspection records, and other documentation.
  • Adheres to all ISO system requirements.

  • Achieve cost reduction through simplification of part/component design.
  • Increase in Plant capacity.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Technical competence in reliability techniques and equipment.
Experience/Education Required/Sought
  • BS or MS in mechanical engineering with experience in highly technical operations/facility management preferred but NOT required.
  • 5-7 years' experience in Industrial/Manufacturing environment.
  • Maintenance Engineering skills are required.
  • Excellent computer skills needed. Microsoft Office, CMMS and Oracle preferred.
  • Ladder logic programming experience related to process automation and control.
  • Working experience with Siemens control system desirable.
