Job summary

Armstrong is seeking a Plant Maintenance Lineman to build and maintain our high-speed network infrastructure across outdoor sites. You will work on aerial and underground lines, climb poles, and operate heavy equipment to ensure reliability and performance.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, a strong work ethic, and physical ability to handle lifting up to 75 lbs. CDL with endorsements is a plus, with opportunities for storm-response scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 75 lbs and climb.
• Valid OH driver's license; CDL with endorsements a plus.
• Willingness to work after hours, especially in storms or emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and upgrade aerial and underground HFC and FTTH networks.
• Climb poles, ladders, and use climbing gear as needed.
• Operate equipment such as bucket trucks, forklifts, backhoes, trenchers, and related tools.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and follow safety policies.
• Read and interpret network designs and construction plans.
• Keep daily logs and inventory records accurately.
