Job summary

Conagra Brands is seeking a Maintenance Leader at our Macomb Township facility to drive reliability, reduce downtime, and ensure safe, compliant production. You will oversee a team, set maintenance strategy, and partner across functions to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities include budgeting, capital planning support, KPI tracking, and contractor management. Strong PLC and SAP PM experience preferred, with a focus on predictive maintenance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years managing a maintenance team in manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of PLCs and controls systems.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, reliability practices, and continuous improvement.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with data analysis.
• Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance or similar systems preferred.
• Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies (vibration, infrared, ultrasound) preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the plant maintenance function to reduce equipment downtime and improve efficiency.
• Provide direct leadership, coaching, and development for the maintenance team.
• Promote and enforce safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure adherence to food safety, quality, USDA regulations and GMP standards within Maintenance.
• Develop, manage, and maintain the maintenance operating budget.
• Support capital planning with cost estimates and long-term strategies.
• Establish and manage maintenance performance metrics for accountability and improvement.
• Implement systems to evaluate maintenance work including internal teams and contractors.
• Manage contractor relationships and oversee contracted maintenance services.
• Oversee execution of maintenance activities through field presence and collaboration with plant teams.
• Partner with Reliability COE to implement reliability standards and best practices.
• Identify and prioritize maintenance losses and drive action plans.
• Drive SAP Plant Maintenance adoption across the department.
• Assess team capability and lead development plans for skills.
