About the Role

We're seeking a strategic and hands‑on Senior Manager of Maintenance to lead maintenance and utilities operations at our Battle Creek manufacturing facility. In this role, you'll drive a proactive maintenance culture focused on predictive, preventive, and planned practices to maximize reliability, ensure food safety, and support operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a multi-skilled maintenance and utilities team
• Drive preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability
• Oversee plant systems including production equipment, HVAC, boilers, and ammonia/glycol systems
• Manage maintenance parts, inventory, and cost controls
• Track and improve KPIs tied to uptime, reliability, and cost
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards (including SQF)
• Lead CMMS utilization and reliability‑centered maintenance (RCM) practices
• Partner cross‑functionally with Operations to optimize plant performance

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering preferred
• 10+ years of maintenance/engineering experience, including 8+ years in leadership
• Strong technical expertise in plant maintenance and utilities systems
• Proven leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
• Experience driving preventive maintenance and reliability initiatives
• CMRP certification (or ability to obtain) preferred
• Food manufacturing experience is a plus
