Job summary

Boar's Head Brand in Virginia is seeking a Maintenance Lead to oversee plant equipment maintenance, preventive tasks, and department direction under supervision.

You will direct crews, troubleshoot controls, perform PM tasks, and ensure GMPs, SOPs, and Food Safety rules are followed; welding, machining, and fabrication skills are valued.

This hands-on role requires collaboration with supervisors and facilities manager on special projects.

Qualifications

• Team player able to work with all facility personnel.
• Strong communication with supervision, QA, Safety, and USDA personnel.
• More than 5 years of mechanical experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs crews and sets priorities with Facility and Operations Management.
• Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot plant equipment and perform PM tasks.
• Train junior mechanics and assist with maintenance reporting.
• Ensure GMPs and SOPs are followed and Food Safety rules upheld.

Education

High School diploma or GED plus specialized training
