Job summary

American Seating Company is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Manager in Grand Rapids, MI to lead the maintenance and facilities functions, manage budgets, and drive TPM initiatives. The role requires overseeing a team of supervisors and technicians, with focus on uptime, safety, and plant productivity.

The ideal candidate has extensive manufacturing maintenance experience, a relevant engineering degree, a journeyman certificate, and proven leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory/management experience.
• Journeyman certification in an industrial maintenance trade required.
• Budgets and capital projects experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads maintenance and facilities team, including hiring, training, performance appraisals, coaching and corrective action.
• Develops and executes a maintenance strategy to improve reliability and up-time on major equipment.
• Tracks and reports KPIs such as OEE, downtime, MTBF, MTTR and PM compliance; sets targets and drives corrective actions.
• Ensures 100% on-time completion of preventive maintenance and oversees CMMS and PM programs.
• Prepares and manages annual maintenance and facilities budget; plans capital projects.
• Leads TPM implementation and continuous improvement to enhance plant productivity.
• Ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements including OSHA.
• Maintains and improves physical plant, buildings, grounds, and utilities.
