Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee safe, efficient maintenance of plant assets. You will develop procedures, support craftsmen, troubleshoot faults, specify parts, and partner with operations for reliable asset performance.

You will drive PM and PdM programs, MTTR/MTBF improvements, and cost controls; engage with reliability engineering; provide training; and perform PLC/DCS programming for electrical systems and new installation packages.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Electrical engineering degree or significant tech school background.
• Understanding of equipment operation and repair practices.
• Ability to use CMMS and analyze data.
• Training/certifications in predictive technologies, repair practices, or spare parts methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop maintenance procedures, methods and testing.
• Support craftsmen performing maintenance work and respond to equipment faults.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and specify replacement parts.
• Assist planners in developing work packages and inspect jobs.
• Lead responses for emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.
• Program PLCs and DCS (electrical) and develop installation/commissioning packages.
• Develop PM and PdM programs and monitor maintenance costs.
• Collaborate with operations, planning, and other departments.
