Primary Responsibilities include:

• Perform skilled repairs on HVAC, power equipment, refrigeration, and food service systems.
• Manage the energy management system and execute quarterly preventive maintenance tasks.
• Maintain precise unit logs and mechanical room records for all assigned buildings.
• Assist subcontractors and other trades as needed; adapt to and learn new facility systems.

Minimum Qualifications

To be qualified for and considered for this position, applicants must meet all of the minimum qualifications listed below. • Current licensure in Minnesota as a First Class C Boiler Operator or higher.

OR

• Applicants with current licensure in Minnesota as a Second Class C Boiler Operator may be considered for a provisional appointment until obtaining licensure as a First Class C Boiler Operator

Physical Requirements

The completion of pre-placement physical components may be required for this position. These components may consist of a tuberculosis screening, commercial driver's license (CDL) drug test, and/or respirator clearance. The selection process may include screening the top candidate(s) on their criminal history, predatory offender registration, offender associations and/or other applicable background information in accordance with Department of Corrections’ policy. Top candidate(s) must pass a criminal history check which includes successful completion of all sentencing and/or restitution requirements of law enforcement jurisdictions, including probation.

Employment history/reference checks, including incidents of sexual harassment, will also be conducted on the top candidate(s) in accordance with Department of Corrections’ policy. This may include a review of job performance and discipline records.
