Job summary

Thompson Pipe Group, headquartered in Rialto, CA, is seeking a Plant Maintenance and Reliability Manager to lead a multi-trade maintenance team and ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations across heavy equipment and electrical systems.

You will drive planning, prioritization, and execution of maintenance work, oversee parts purchasing, and coordinate with internal teams to uphold 5S and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5 years in one or more skilled trades.
  • Valid driver’s license in the work location state.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, schedule, and mentor a crew of Maintenance Mechanics/Technicians across multiple trades.
  • Ensure DOT fleet compliance and maintain heavy equipment and industrial electrical systems.
  • Plan work, assign tasks, and track progress in MaintainX or a comparable CMMS.
  • Conduct performance reviews, coach team members, and administer discipline when needed.
  • Manage purchasing, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment and systems.

Plant Maintenance and Reliability ManagerStarting pay from $100,000 annuallyA day in the lifeAs the Maintenance leader at Thompson Pipe Group, you start your shift with a plant walk. You greet your Maintenance Mechanics and Technicians, review overnight work orders in MaintainX (or similar CMMS), and set priorities for equipment repairs, DOT fleet compliance checks, and critical-path jobs on heavy equipment. By mid-morning, you’re coaching a tech on a hydraulic troubleshooting procedure, confirming a welding repair conforms to the work order and cost estimate, and coordinating with an electrician to safely lock out a motor circuit. After lunch, you’re approving parts purchases, updating labor and materials records, and riding along in a light truck to pick up an urgent component.
