Job summary

nexAir, LLC is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to service and repair industrial equipment and mechanical systems in a chemical manufacturing setting. The role entails coordinating repairs, supporting SOP development, and participating in HAZOPs and FMEAs.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of equipment maintenance experience, knowledge of OSHA PSM elements, welding, high‑pressure piping, cryogenic pumps, and basic electrical troubleshooting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science strongly preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
  • 3–5 years of equipment maintenance experience in chemical manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA Process Safety Management Program elements including Mechanical Integrity, Management of Change, Operating Procedure Elements.
  • Knowledge of welding techniques.
  • Knowledge of high‑pressure piping systems.
  • Knowledge of cryogenic pumps and systems.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems.
  • Schedule and coordinate repair, modification and preventive maintenance operations.
  • Assist in development and review of standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in HAZOPs and FMEAs.
  • Location liaison with corporate process safety group.
  • Oversee and/or perform new equipment installations.
  • Utilize hand and portable power tools and follow safe practices during maintenance.
  • Advise management regarding equipment life and usage and researching new equipment purchases.
  • Ensure operations technicians understand and follow safe practices during maintenance.
  • Coordinate and oversee movement of materials and equipment as required.
  • Participate in Six Sigma Projects.
