Martin Marietta is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician at Lotawana Quarry in Lees Summit, MO. The role inspects, repairs and installs equipment for surface mining operations and requires collaboration with a team to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a valid US driver’s license; maintenance experience is preferred. The position emphasizes safety, PPE and hands-on welding/fabrication as needed.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture
• Disassemble machines and remove parts for repairs using hand tools, chain falls, jacks or hoists
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear
• Collaborate with team members to repair moving machine parts for equipment or transport materials between work areas
• Lubricate machines, machine parts or other equipment according to standards
• Tend to equipment such as conveyors to move materials through production processes
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
• Perform welding and fabrication activities as needed
• Work in a team environment
• Clean work areas
• Proper wear of personal protective equipment
• Notify supervisors of repairs needed
