Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Lead Plant Maintenance Night Shift at the Columbia West Quarry in Columbia, MO to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy equipment while ensuring safety and production goals.

The role requires 4+ years of related maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid US driver’s license; familiarity with MSHA regulations and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 4+ years of related maintenance experience.
• Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred.
• Valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta's Guardian Angel culture
• Disassemble machines and remove parts for repairs using hand tools, chain falls, jacks or hoists
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear
• Collaborate with team members to repair moving machine parts for equipment or transport materials between work areas
• Lubricate machines, machine parts or other equipment according to standards
• Tend to equipment such as conveyors to move materials through production processes
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
• Perform welding and fabrication activities as needed
• Work in a team environment
• Clean work areas
• Proper wear of personal protective equipment
• Notify supervisors of repairs needed
