Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Plant Maintenance technician for the Night Shift at the Columbia West Quarry in Columbia, MO. This role runs 10pm to 6am with hourly pay of $25-$30, depending on experience, and requires readiness to work outdoors and around heavy equipment.

You will participate in safety programs, inspect and repair machinery, collaborate with the team, and ensure equipment is properly lubricated, maintained, and ready for production. A valid US driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred.
• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety programs and trainings, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture.
• Disassemble machines and remove parts for repairs using hand tools, chain falls, jacks or hoists.
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear.
• Collaborate with team members to repair moving machine parts for equipment or transport materials between work areas.
• Lubricate machines, machine parts or other equipment according to standards.
• Tend to equipment such as conveyors to move materials through production processes.
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment.
• Perform welding and fabrication activities as needed.
• Work in a team environment.
• Clean work areas.
• Proper wear of personal protective equipment.
• Notify supervisors of repairs needed.

• Ability to work in elevated areas
• General physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling material
