Junior Plant Maintenance Mid-Shift
Hours: Monday - Friday 4pm - 1:30am

Are you someone who looks for troubleshooting opportunities? Do you enjoy making decisions, solving problems and paying attention to details? Are you willing to get dirty to see the success of an exciting industry?

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Junior Plant Maintenance Technician at the underground mine in Randolph, Missouri. This position is responsible for inspecting, repairing and installing equipment for our underground and surface mining operations.

Essential Functions

• Participate in safety programs and trainings, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture
• Disassemble machines and remove parts for repairs using hand tools, chain falls, jacks or hoists
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear
• Collaborate with team members to repair move machine parts for equipment or transport materials between work areas
• Lubricate machines, machine parts or other equipment according to standards
• Tend to equipment such as conveyors to move materials through production processes
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
• Perform welding and fabrication activities as needed
• Work in a team environment
• Clean work areas
• Proper wear of personal protective equipment
• Notify supervisors of needed repairs

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position and will require 40+ hours per week.

Preferred Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred
• Previous maintenance experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance

Physical Abilities

• Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
• Ability to work in elevated areas
• General physical activities including climbing stairs, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping and handling materials
