Job summary

Columbia Machine, Inc. in Smithsburg, MD is seeking a Plant Manager to lead safe, efficient manufacturing operations ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality products.

The role covers safety, production, maintenance, purchasing, inventory, budgeting, and HR, reporting to the General Manager. You will drive Lean manufacturing initiatives and manage capital projects to maximize asset utilization and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin, Engineering or Industrial Management is highly desired.
• Associate degree and/or 3 years experience in machining/steel manufacturing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety, production, inventory management, QA, purchasing, shipping and receiving.
• Coach and develop team members; coordinate production schedules with sales.
• Review KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee budgeting and cost management to meet targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
