Job summary

KEITH Walking Floor Systems is seeking a Plant Journeyman Electrician to join our Maintenance Department in Madras, Oregon. This hands-on role focuses on installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across a manufacturing facility.

The successful candidate will support production uptime, improve equipment reliability, and ensure electrical work meets safety codes and company standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Industrial manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, controls, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience with PLC-controlled equipment, VFDs, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and automated manufacturing equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical issues involving CNC machinery, automated production equipment, motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, and control systems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Install electrical conduit, wiring, panels, disconnects, transformers, and related components.
• Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and motor control circuits.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, and applicable electrical codes.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and production interruptions in a timely manner.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage within company maintenance systems.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and maintenance personnel to support operational goals.
• Recommend improvements that enhance equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency.
