Job summary

Woodgrain is seeking an Electrician to install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in our Emmett-area operations. This role emphasizes safety and compliance with electrical codes while supporting sawmill production.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, a journeyman license within 1 year, and 2+ years of electrical experience; PLC experience is a plus. Join a team focused on reliability and safety.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent; Technical school training preferred.
State or Journeyman Electrical License, or the ability to obtain such license within 1 year of hire. Required
2+ years experience in electrical installation, troubleshooting, and repair; Proven experience as an electrician required.
PLC experience preferred

Responsibilities

Diagnose, test, calibrate and repair electrical equipment.
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain lighting, pumps, sensors, and switch gears.
Read wiring diagrams and layout drawings for systems or equipment.
Work with maintenance staff to improve operations and streamline processes.
Back up and document machine center programs and changes.
Prepare reports and functional descriptions for daily changes.
Take an active role in predictive maintenance to support prompt resolution of problems.
