Job summary

Manpower Group (USA) in Fremont, CA is seeking a Plant Issue Resolution Engineer to lead triage and resolution planning for issues found during assembly and end-of-line testing of autonomous vehicle builds.

You will collaborate with design, process, and manufacturing teams to perform root cause analysis, implement containment actions, and drive permanent corrective actions, while developing dashboards to track issue health and recurrence.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• 6-8 years of experience in automotive OEMs, robotics, aviation, or other complex hardware systems within manufacturing, product engineering, or sustaining environments.
• Strong understanding of OEM vehicle electrical systems, wiring harnesses, control units, sensors, and mechanical systems.
• Proven experience leading root cause analysis and corrective actions in production or field environments, including new product launch support.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead triage, containment, and resolution planning of issues identified during general assembly and end-of-line testing for autonomous vehicle fleets and pre-production robotaxi builds.
• Define and execute short-term containment actions, including rework plans, part quarantine, and build flow protection.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to conduct root cause analysis across design, process, supplier, and manufacturing domains, identifying and prioritizing blockers.
• Support the implementation of permanent corrective actions (PCA) to prevent recurrence and improve manufacturing processes.
• Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reports to monitor issue health, closure rates, and recurrence, enhancing problem-solving processes.

As a Plant Issue Resolution Engineer, you will be part of the Manufacturing Support Department supporting vehicle quality and production efficiency.
