Job summary

Trinseo LLC in Midland, MI is seeking an Improvement Engineer to lead plant capital and expense projects within the Thrive framework. You will drive capacity improvements, implement new technology, and ensure regulatory compliance and plant health.

You will work with project engineers, manufacturing, and maintenance, manage budgets, track costs, write SAP purchase orders, and coordinate with vendors to optimize operations and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Chemical or Mechanical Eng with 4 years' related experience.
• Master's in Chemical or Mechanical Eng with 2 years' related experience accepted.
• Experience in chemical plants, safety standards, and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill the role of Project Manager for plant capital and expense projects.
• Follow the Global Project Methodology (Thrive) and drive capacity improvements.
• Handle organizational work for product implementation and adhere to the capital budget.
• Write and monitor purchase orders using SAP and track costs (accrual and cash out).
• Collaborate with vendors, engineering teams and operators to optimize operations and safety.
