Job summary

CNH Industrial in New Holland, PA seeks a Plant Human Resources Manager to lead HR activities for the manufacturing facility, connecting people strategy to operations across shifts.

The role partners with the Plant Manager, uses data to forecast risk, and drives talent, engagement, and staffing while ensuring compliance with employment laws and CNH values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing plant environment.
  • Comfort working on the production floor and in a plant setting.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen; advanced Excel; Power BI or similar a plus.
  • Experience with hourly employee relations in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Plant Manager to align HR plans with business strategy and manufacturing metrics.
  • Use workforce data (headcount, overtime, attendance, turnover, engagement, labor cost) to identify trends and actions.
  • Lead workforce planning for volume changes, shutdowns, and ramp-ups.
  • Maintain a visible, trusted presence on the shop floor across shifts.
  • Advise leadership on hourly employee relations and corrective actions.
  • Counsel managers on policies, compensation, benefits and fair treatment.
  • Lead engagement actions with plant leadership and track results.
  • Coach leaders on development plans and succession planning.
  • Manage staffing to fill positions with high-quality candidates.
  • Facilitate pay actions aligned with total compensation strategy and laws.
  • Lead HR components of lean and continuous improvement processes.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment and EEO laws.
  • Lead and develop the plant HR team.

Job Purpose

The Plant Human Resources Manager is a member of the plant leadership team and a business partner to the Plant Manager, leading all HR activities for the New Holland, PA manufacturing facility. The role connects people strategy to plant operating objectives through workforce planning, employee relations, talent and engagement, and is expected to be visible and credible with employees on the production floor across all shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Plant Manager and leadership team to understand business strategy, the production plan and operating metrics, and provide HR insights and solutions to business challenges.
  • Use workforce and business data (headcount, overtime, attendance, turnover, engagement, labor cost) to identify trends, anticipate risk and recommend actions.
  • Lead workforce planning for volume changes, shutdowns and ramp-ups, including staffing, critical skills and retention.
  • Maintain a consistent, visible presence on the shop floor across all shifts and build trust with hourly employees, team leads and supervisors.
  • Advise plant leadership on hourly employee relations, identify concerns early and accelerate significant issues promptly to plant and regional HR leadership.
  • Counsel managers and supervisors on policies, procedures, compensation, benefits and corrective action to ensure consistent and fair treatment of all employees.
  • Lead engagement action planning with plant leadership and follow up to confirm actions deliver the intended results.
  • Coach leaders on career development, individual development plans and succession planning.
  • Manage the staffing process to fill positions timely with high-quality candidates.
  • Facilitate pay actions aligned with the total compensation strategy and applicable laws.
  • Lead the HR components of the plant's lean and continuous improvement processes.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state and federal employment and EEO laws.
  • Lead, develop and hold accountable the plant HR team.
  • Model and reinforce CNH values: Built Around Customers, Go Beyond, Make It Simple, Win as One and You Matter.
Experience Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with significant experience in a manufacturing plant environment
  • Demonstrated comfort working in a plant environment, including regular time on the production floor
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen; advanced Excel required, Power BI or similar a plus
  • Experience with hourly employee relations in a manufacturing environment
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is USD $137,475.00 - $210,795.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
