Job summary

Thompson + Hanson in Austin/Houston seeks a full-time sales associate to represent the store, greet customers, and maintain fashion and home merchandise. You will help customers fit sizes, restock items, and promote sales through excellent service.

The role requires a friendly, organized team member with basic plant knowledge and strong communication skills, contributing to a welcoming shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Represent the store in a positive manner.
• Greet all customers.
• Fold, straighten, and restock fashion and home merchandise.
• Keep the store organized and tidy.
• Dust, sweep, and perform general cleaning daily.
• Help fitting customers and find sizes for customers.
• Promote sales through customer service and suggest other items.
• Maintain a customer book and communicate with regular customers.
• Learn proper TH gift wrapping techniques.
• Process customer returns and refunds.
• Learn how to process designer approvals, special orders, and wholesale transactions.
• Process employee and family discounts.
• Attend staff meetings.
• Learn plant codes for ringing up plants.
• Stay updated on merchandise outside in the garden.
• Help locate products for customers.
