Job summary

Dauch in Gallatin, TN is seeking a Plant Helper (Blending) to ensure the safe operation and output of blended steel powder using computer-operated mixing stations. You will follow all safety, environmental and quality policies and prepare blending according to customer specifications in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role includes maintaining production records, moving materials between areas, checking instructions, and performing packaging and packing operator tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 2-5 years of previous experience in an industrial setting is preferred.
• Ability to operate a forklift and pass required Company training.
• Computer literacy and experience with Office Software is preferred.
• Ability to work overtime on short notice is required.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures.
• Prepare blending operation by checking customer specifications.
• Maintain records of production activities as required.
• Locate and transport processing materials between storage and process area.
• Check processing instructions, determine and locate proper container and skid needed.
• Record data on packaged and stored material.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area.
• Notify supervision of material location discrepancies, need for supplies, abnormal conditions, etc.
• Perform minor maintenance on fork truck, set up and operate scales, etc.
• Perform Packing Operator job functions.
• Perform all tasks requested by the Supervisor and/or other management personnel
