American Axle & Mfg., Inc. is seeking a Plant Helper (Blending) to support the safe operation and production of blended steel powder via computer-controlled mixing stations in our Gallatin, TN facility.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2–5 years of industrial experience, forklift operation ability, and basic computer skills; overtime may be required and training will be provided. Join a team dedicated to safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.
Plant Helper (Blending)
Responsible for the safe operation and output of blended steel powder through computer operated mixing stations.
1. Follow all company safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures.
2. Follow job specific Work Instructions which pertain to the job assignment.
3. Prepare blending operation by checking customer specifications.
4. Maintain records of production activities as required.
5. Locate and transport processing materials between storage and process area.
6. Check processing instructions, determine and locate proper container and skid needed.
7. Record data on packaged and stored material.
8. Maintain a safe, clean work area.
9. Notify supervision of material location discrepancies, need for supplies, abnormal conditions, etc.
10. Perform minor maintenance on fork truck, set up and operate scales, etc.
11. Perform Packing Operator job functions.
Perform all tasks requested by the Supervisor and/or other management personnel
