Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons in the United States seeks a Plant President to lead the development and execution of plans for people, processes, technology, and culture. You will monitor employee development, equipment performance and utilization, safety practices, and key business indicators, collaborating with site leadership to meet strategic goals.

The role requires 8+ years of diversified management experience in printing or manufacturing, with strong Lean and sales leadership; open to new approaches

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Industrial Management, Engineering, Graphic Arts or related field, or equivalent years of experience, preferred.
• 8+ years of diversified management experience within the printing industry OR similar manufacturing industry, with proven success in leading operations teams
• Experience leading sales teams is highly desired
• Continuous Improvement / Lean skills/experience highly preferred
• Ability to lead a diverse team of both sales and operations group
• Excellent communication skills to communicate with internal and external teams
• Ability to lead and influence change
• Ability to lead through empathy
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong desire to apply continuous improvement throughout the plant

Responsibilities

• Lead the plant to improve sales pipeline, safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction in every process.
• P&L responsibility for assigned locations, including capital and operating budgets.
• Develop employees through education and training programs to improve performance.
• Establish and maintain a viable succession plan for all critical human resources.
• Provide guidance to department managers for continual improvement of operations.
• Lead and manage local plant Sales team in strategy and daily cadenced insights to ensure a viable local sales pipeline.
• Work with Sales Representatives to maintain and acquire customers.
• Review and report on manufacturing activities and identify issues affecting quality, safety, service, or productivity.
• Maintain open communication with plant employees and Corporate Staff.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, EEO, and other regulatory agencies.
• Provide reports on plant performance to Corporate Staff.
• Make recommendations regarding hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, training and merit increases.
• Motivate staff to meet department objectives and production schedules.
• Demonstrate commitment to continual process improvement to exceed customer expectations.
• Perform other related duties as required.
