Job summary

USDA Agricultural Research Service in Pullman, WA seeks personnel to assist in multiple phases of plant germplasm research. You will work with scientists to manage lab, field, and greenhouse activities, ensuring data collection and sample handling are performed accurately.

You will also maintain detailed records, operate common equipment, and support automated systems used in test and evaluation procedures across GS-05 to GS-07 levels.

Qualifications

• GS-05 requires 1 year of specialized experience related to the work or a Bachelor’s with relevant coursework.
• GS-06 requires 1 year of specialized experience at GS-05 level with research or lab duties.
• GS-07 requires 1 year of specialized experience at GS-06 level with complex technical duties.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a team member in all phases of the research process.
• Assume technical and operational responsibility for specific research phases.
